Academic Requirements 1.CASPer All applicants must sit CASPer. CASPer is a requirement for many of the initial teacher education courses in Victoria. It is a non-cognitive online tool designed to assess an applicant's personal and professional attributes. To register for your sitting or further information visit https://takecasper.com/. CASPer can only be taken online, on specific dates between September and January. To ensure you meet the CASPer deadlines for your application go to https://takecasper.com/test-dates/ 2. All applicants must satisfy the following prerequisites or their equivalents. 3. Australian VCE subjects -English Units 3 & 4 with a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in English other than EAL. Maths Units 3 & 4: a study score of at least 22 in Mathematical Methods (any) or Specialist Mathematics, or a score of at least 25 in Further Mathematics 4. IB subjects- English At least 4 in English SL or 3 in English HL or 5 in English B SL or 4 in English B HL Maths At least 4 in Mathematics SL or 3 in Mathematics HL or 3 in Further Mathematics HL or 4 in Math Studies SL 5.VET Study VET Certificate IV, diploma or advanced diploma graduates: To be considered, applicants will normally require at least a 75% to 80% average. Preference will be given to students whose prior studies are related to the course in which they are seeking admission. Programs that involve competency-based assessment without grades or marks will not meet the admission requirements. 6. Higher Education- University: Two single units at an Australian higher education institution satisfy minimum entry requirements, but more units may be useful for selection, and studies that have a language or mathematics bias and/or relevance to education studies may assist in the selection procedure. Applicants should have at least a 60% average in their studies. Applicants should have at least a 60% average in their studies. Studies must have been completed within five years of intended commencement. All applicants must satisfy the equivalence of the VCE subject prerequisites.
